Six stages to elite
Every great player follows a progression. Here's how junior golf development unfolds — and where REIMERGOLF Academy fits in.
Active Start
Boys 0–6 · Girls 0–6
Build agility, balance and coordination along with comfort and awareness of the golf course and facilities.
Key concepts: Children learn fundamental movements and link them together. Enjoyment and unstructured play are critical at this stage.

Fundamentals
Boys 6–9 · Girls 6–8
Learn fundamental movement skills and build overall motor skills. Games develop strength, endurance and flexibility — and golf clubs must fit the junior properly.
Key concepts: Putting, chipping & full swing.

Learn to Golf
Boys 9–11 · Girls 8–11
Continue developing fundamental movement and golf skills. Playing many sports is key — it enhances overall movement skills.
Key concepts: Putting, chipping, full swing & greenside bunker.

Introduction to Competition
Boys 11–14 · Girls 11–13
Continue building golf skills and seek guidance from a PGA of Canada professional. Competitive experiences where winning is not the top priority are key.
Key concepts: Putting, chipping, full swing, green reading & club selection.

Learn to Compete
Boys 14–17 · Girls 13–16
Implement technical, tactical and supporting skills to meet future expectations. Juniors begin measuring their skills against peers in competition.
Key concepts: Developing a resilient mindset & refining technical and tactical skills.

Train to Compete
Boys 17–22 · Girls 16–19
Reinforce, refine and optimize technical, tactical and ancillary skills to perform at the desired level. The REIMERGOLF Academy lives here.
